Professional Recording

I have reopened my project studio, SongTailor Recording. I’m offering custom track creation for your original songs, as well as in-studio sessions.  I can record individuals, duos, trios or a four or five-piece band, depending on the number of live channels required.

I am also available as an online session musician for your local project.  Send me your project and I’ll record my part in a separate wave file and send it back to you.

  • My current studio flat rate:  $45/hr.
  • Custom tracks, mixed and mastered: $75 – $250 per song, depending on instrumentation and time required.
  • I also have drop screens available for in-studio promo photography and videography.

Samples

Note: These samples are best to audition through a high quality system or good headphones in order to hear lots of nuance that most common computer speaker systems won’t represent well.

The most recent recording work I’ve done, this is a sample of an accompaniment track I built for a client to be able to perform with or record their own vocal and perhaps some additional instrumentation.

This is a cut from an album I did for a local sax player, Michael Byington, using mp3 tracks provided by the client.  His album can be heard and purchased here.  (He is one of my studio musicians available to add saxophone parts to your project.)

Part of a live local band recording I did for New Spur Band back in 2014.  I overdubbed the piano and organ tracks later… (Yep, that’s me, folks!)

A local singer /acoustic guitar player performing an original remake of an old classic hymn.

One of my own original remakes, and the most recent. Thought I’d demo this here for some added diversity.  I played all the instruments, created the arrangement and did the production.  It’s a good sample of how I can build custom tracks for songwriters.
